If you have a rising 5th grader and you are a Virginia Beach resident, I highly recommend you to register your child for the city’s free summer language program. It is a month-long program that teaches young children Chinese (or Russian) language and culture. I believe school buses will be provided as well to help with the transportation. It runs every morning from 8:00 am till 12:00 noon during the week days of June 25 to July 19. You can either register at the website above or fill in a paper application that your child will bring home sometime this month.
